Simple Side-Scroller - Animated Puzzle Elements

About:

this set includes ~450 frames of animation for different gameplay elements. all animations are extremely fluidly animated)

The goal of these designs is that you are able to build a lot of different (action)puzzles for your game and display the puzzle elements in a visually striking way to the player.

This assetpack follows a modern retro approach, it takes inspirations from NES aesthetics, but changes the restrictions to be more suitable for modern machines. It creates a simple, yet compelling pixel art style reminiscent of classic gaming (which is also quick  & easy to edit and enhance for indiedevs).

All assets were designed for an approximately 32 px tall characters (26-38px size range) with a basic tilesize of 16x16 px in mind and fit also together with my sidescroller character template.

This set includes 16 different designs:

• conveyor belt
• big & small pressureplate
• lever
• iron key & golden key
• ground smoke (for stomper / movable block)
• ladder tiles
• movable block
• ceilingring
• spikes
• wooden & golden door
• stomper
• lava & acid

What's Animation-wise in it:

• conveyor belt (infinitively horizontally tileable, 3 tilepieces with an 8 frame animation each)
• pressure plates (big and small versions, idle, gettingpressed & release animations)
• lever (idle, gettingpressed, release animations)
• keys (iron and gold version, turnaround & presentation animations)
• spikes (idle, appaering, disappaering & hint animations)
• doors (wooden and golden variant, open, close and "closed" animations
• stomper (up&down positions, falling & lifting animations)
• lava/acid tiles (12 tilepieces to map out square lava shapes)
• groundsmoke (for stomper / movable block)

• movable block
• ceilingring tile (for grappling / swinging)
• ladder tileset (12 tiles, 6 horizontal pieces)

• a sprite atlas
• all animations as their own strips

• additionally there is an animation file in it explaining all animations and their purpose in great detail.

Does this set fit together with any other assetpacks?

Yes!

This Propset fits perfectly together with my Simple/Nes Sidescroller Series.

Will you keep this assetpack updated?

There are chances that I will extend this set later or add other assetpacks to my store which will fit together with this pack. Every asset I sell supports my itch shop and the money from sales gets invested into the creation of new assets.
