Pixel Art – Food & Cooking Iconset – 32×32

Back to my Shop-page

About this assetpack:

Inspired by the cooking systems featured in many of the most recent greatest hits (e.g. Zelda Breath of the Wild, Stardew Valley, ...) this set includes a wealth of objects to build a similar cooking system for your game. While the focus on this set mainly lies on providing finished dishes, there are a couple of new fruits, nuts and vegetables included, that it is more useful as a standalone set.

However it will truly shine, if you combine it with the Farming&Production Chain Iconset (which provides all the cooking gear necessary and more basic materials) if you are creating something in the vein of Harvest Moon, or if you combine it with the Crafting&Survival Iconset, if you are looking to create a system like BotW features.

It is a must-have if you want to make a great cooking system for your game and a valuable addition if you already own some of the other iconsets and look for fitting add-ons.

All icons are extremely high quality and have a resolution of 32x32px

All icons may be edited  and customized (check the licence)

You get:

  • 100 completely unique handpainted icon designs
  • every icon is delivered with an unique cast shadow sprite
  • every icon is delivered with an outline (selection) (32x32)
  • every icon is delivered with a repainted black outline (32x32)
  • a .rtf / .txt file with item names & detailled descriptions / information for each object

Does this set fit together with any other assetpacks?

Yes!

There are more iconsets in the same style which I offer, so check out all of them in the system graphics:

I bought these materials, and it seems that there are too many repetitions. Sometimes there are two or three packages of the same icon. For the most individual developer, can these material packages be used for the development of multiple games? That is, when developing the second game or the third game, you don't have to pay any more, just buy it once. Because there are too many repetitions, only about 20% can be used for real adaptation. Secondly, the price is a bit outrageous for independent developers, and the company has its own special painter. So I suggest changing the terms so that this material package can be used many times, otherwise it will be a pity that the next game will not be used. I will probably use this money to find someone to draw a set. I like this quality and I should also consider the overall open cost.

"I bought these materials, and it seems that there are too many repetitions"
These assetpacks are developed to be standalone packs and work with other packs.
Some are general packs and some are specialized packs
If the topic of an assetpack requires a specific icon which already exists it will be duplicated. Especially if there is a general pack and a specialized pack with a similar focus.
Sometimes I offer sales or bulk offers.

Please refer to the FAQ/ licence. The terms state clearly when the asset can be used for multiple games. The licence is made with indie developers in mind and considers the usage for prototyping and successful games.

As an assetpack creator I don't know which kind of game you develop and which icons you need. And no two games have the same requirements. If you feel like a general purpose assetpack does not fully meet your needs, always consider commissioning an artist. However If there is something missing you always can send me an E-mail and ask me to add it.

"the price is a bit outrageous for independent developers,"

The 32x32 resolution sets are incredibly hard and time consuming to develop and the price reflects this. If it is too expensive, please consider the 24x24 or 16x16 sets, which are way easier and faster to produce and therefore also way cheaper. If the 32x32 assetpack seems to pricy, probably it's risky to develop a pixelart game with this resolution.

It means that if I buy it, I have to buy a copy when I develop the second game? In that case, I may not buy it. Considering the cost, I may find someone to draw a set of icons with the same style. Our price here is $1, so I can't use these icons considering the cost. Because the games I play are small, there may be a lot. In that case, I will pay a sky-high price, and the overall income of the game may not reach the price of icons.

If your game hits the criteria outlined as a "successful game" as specified in the licence you need another licence, if it however doesn't hit the criteria then it's ok to reuse them.  With 50 copies sold of a 1$ game, the criteria of a  "successful game" are not met, but please read the licence.  Every case is really clearly stated in there.
